If you've ever fantasized about fuller, longer eyelashes, you're in luck this fall, because lash extensions--false eyelashes that last six to eight weeks--are fast becoming this season's hottest accessory. "They make you feel fluttery and pretty," says Dionne Phillips, an eyelash professional at L.A.'s Kate Somerville salon.

Eyes on the Prize: Keep your glamorous new lashes looking lustrous with a little TLC. First, "use an oil-free makeup remover" to avoid stripping the glue holding your extensions on. Also avoid sleeping facedown so you won't "smash your lashes." Overall, though, "There's basically no maintenance. Just brush them with your fingers and go."

Power Play: A touch of nude lip gloss and shimmery bronzer are all you need to highlight your new look. "It's really pretty and soft and all-American," says Phillips. "It actually looks like you have a full face on without blush and foundation."
