Do You Really Need to Wash Hair Twice?

I challenge you to find a shampoo bottle that doesn't contain the directions to 'rinse & repeat' (or some version of that). While some experts claim the first washing removes, dirt, oil & product buildup while the second adds volume, it's really not necessary to rinse & repeat if you did a proper job the first time. Just use common sense: If you have short hair, a good initial wash will do you. If you have long or really thick hair, a second coat may be optimal. Personally, I've always wondered if companies put that on the back to get you to use more shampoo.

I never follow whats on the bottle anyway..I just wash my ends and I don't just dump shampoo on my head, cause if I did I would really weigh my hair down.
Who ever came up with the idea that you need to wash your hair twice was I think wrong yet I do agree with you, if your hair is really long then washing it twice just be needed.
