How Much to Tip?

When you get your hair cut, colored, blown-out & shampooed, how much to tip? And what if there are several different people involved from assistants to the main stylist? You are expected to tip 15-20 percent to the stylist & $5 to each individual who shampoos and/or blows out your hair. The same rule applies to your manicurist, your aesthetician & anyone who spends time making you look beautiful (at a cost). They get 15-20 percent as well.

Enjoy,

I for one have been known to overtip if what they have done is better than what I usually get. I have a amazing hair dresser that since I been growing out my hair from a super short cut due to a hair dresser not listening to what I said about a little when she did more than a inch! I will never go there again. Now Joe has been cutting my hair ever since and he listens to just what I wanted and does it. btw ever in my area look up HairMasters.
You are right about the amount for tipping but remember that it goes that way for that waiter or waitress at your favorite watering hole or cafe. I was a waitress/cocktails I know what they go through. I tend to overtip there as well if they are super good at their jobs.
